PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Tarasenko Antworten

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Brayden Schenn and Vladimir Tarasenko scored and Jordan Binnington stopped 25 shots in his first NHL start to lead the St. Louis Blues past the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0 on Monday night in a listless game between two of the worst teams in the league.David Perron scored an empty-netter in the final minutes for St. Louis. The 25-year-old Binnington had played just two games in mop-up duty this season behind Jake Allen. He was sent to the minors in December to keep fresh and earned three wins with a shutout to earn AHL player of the week honors. He was called up — and got the call to start against the hapless Flyers. The win gave the Blues 38 points and moved them past Los Angeles Adidas J.T. Brown Jersey , out of last place in the Western Conference. Only Ottawa has fewer points than the Flyers (36) in the East after Philadelphia’s seventh straight loss. Both teams fired their coaches this season. The Flyers have scored only 12 goals over their seven-game losing streak, their longest losing streak since they went 0-5-5 over November-December last season.PREDATORS 4, MAPLE LEAFS 0TORONTO (AP) — Pekka Rinne made 18 saves for his third shutout of the season and the 54th of his career as Nashville blanked Toronto.Mattias Ekholm, Kevin Fiala and Colton Sissons each had goal and an assist for Nashville, and P.K. Subban also scored.Rinne is now tied with Marc-Andre Fleury, Bernie Parent and Ed Giacomin for 21st on the all-time shutout list.Michael Hutchinson stopped 28 shots for the Maple Leafs, who hit the post three times and had a goal called back for offside.WILD 1, CANADIENS 0MONTREAL (AP) — Mikael Granlund scored and Devan Dubnyk stopped 32 shots for his first shutout of the season for Minnesota. The Wild have won three straight games, all on the road.Carey Price stopped 24 shots for the Canadiens Adidas Adam Pelech Jersey , who have dropped two in a row.Montreal lost Shea Weber to injury. The Canadiens’ captain was hit in the face by a puck while blocking a shot six minutes into the first period. He played seven more shifts in the period, but did not return for the second.FLAMES 4, BLACKHAWKS 3CHICAGO (AP) — Johnny Gaudreau scored two goals, David Rittich made 32 saves and Calgary edged Chicago.Sean Monahan had a goal and an assist as Western Conference-leading Calgary closed out a 3-1 trip with its second straight win. Garnet Hathaway scored an empty-net goal with 50 seconds left, and Elias Lindholm finished with two assists.Gaudreau extended his goal-scoring streak to five games.Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks in the opener of a three-game homestand. Alex DeBrincat and Brandon Saad also scored, and Collin Delia made 39 stops.SHARKS 3, KINGS 1SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Erik Karlsson had three assists, Tomas Hertl scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second period and surging San Jose defeated Los Angeles.Joonas Donskoi and Joe Thornton also scored for San Jose. Martin Jones made 22 saves as the Sharks won their fifth in six games.Anze Kopitar had a goal and Jack Campbell turned back 26 shots for the Kings Adidas Thomas Hickey Jersey , who have lost three of four. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers are finally making their comebacks count.Nolan Patrick scored 2:01 into overtime and the Flyers rallied past the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 Saturday, extending their winning streak to a season-best seven games.Earlier this season, the Flyers made it a habit to come from behind in games only to lose late in regulation, in overtime, or the shootout. Not anymore. This marked the fourth time in the win streak the Flyers overcame a deficit to win — in this case, they were down 4-2 in the third period.“That just goes to show how guys are invested right now and how much we’re willing to pay the price to succeed,” said Flyers goalie Carter Hart, who made 40 saves and won his sixth consecutive start.“Guys are going all out right now and we want to keep this thing rolling. It’s been a lot of fun and we’re going to do everything we can to keep things rolling,” he said.Travis Konecny and Wayne Simmonds each scored power-play goals in the third period to force overtime Adidas Tom Kuhnhackl Jersey , where the Flyers dominated control of the play, eventually resulting in Patrick’s game-winner.Edmonton has lost four in a row and 13 of 18.Philadelphia was badly outplayed for two periods at even strength but was able to stay in the game thanks to its power play, which scored four times. It was the first time the Flyers scored four power-play goals in a game since October 2008.“There’s been a lot of games where we haven’t scored when we probably should have scored,” Flyers coach Scott Gordon said. “Obviously, tonight was one of those nights where it went in for us.”“We made some changes and they’ve been positive so far, so a little bit has been personnel just shuffling the deck as far as who’s going to go where and how they’re going to be used. And this was a great job by the power-play guys,” he said.Sean Couturier scored the first goal of the game on a tic-tac-toe passing play from Claude Giroux and Jake Voracek. It was the 20th goal of the season for Couturier, the second straight season he reached the 20-goal plateau after scoring no more than 14 goals in each of his first six seasons in the NHL.Giroux scored on a power play, getting a snap shot through a screen.“We won the game tonight on effort Adidas Matt Martin Jersey , not on talent,” Giroux said. “I think if we play like that more, we’re going to win more games.”Ty Rattie, Connor McDavid, Adam Larsson and Zack Kassian scored for the Oilers. Cam Talbot had 34 saves in defeat.Edmonton controlled the game at even-strength for the majority of the game. But allowing the four power play goals was its downfall.“You win this time of year when you kill penalties,” Oilers coach Ken Hitchcock said. “Power plays are the gravy.”NOTES: The Flyers had the worst power play in the NHL a week ago but have scored on 6 of 7 chances in the last two games. … McDavid snapped a three-game drought without a goal. He’s only reached four games without a goal twice this season. … D Shayne Gostisbehere (lower body injury) returned to the lineup for the Flyers after missing three games. … Talbot lost his starting job in Edmonton to Mikko Koskinen, yet got the start against the Flyers, marking the seventh time in the last eight games the Flyers have faced the opponent’s backup goalie.UP NEXTOilers: Play part two of a back-to-back road game weekend in Montreal Sunday afternoon.Flyers: Continue their longest homestand of the season when they host Vancouver on Monday.
