If you're hoping that your favorite NHL team scoops up some fresh talent in order to make a postseason run Buffalo Sabres Hoodies Authentic , you'd better hope it does so sooner than later. The 2019 trade deadline passes at 4 p.m. ET on Monday, and after that, deals will be off the table.Fortunately, there's a good chance that your favorite team is trying to make a move before Monday. There has been no shortage of trade rumors or, in the case of specific players, speculation that a move is coming. The weekend should bring a flurry of activity that lasts all the way up until Monday afternoon. With that flurry now on the immediate horizon, it's a perfect time to run down some of the latest chatter. Interest in Simmonds is Picking UpThe Philadelphia Flyers aren't quite out of the playoff mix just yet. However, their 28-26-7 record doesn't spark a ton of confidence in a looming playoff surge. This is why there has been plenty of speculation surrounding winger Wayne Simmonds.Simmonds is having a bit of a down year鈥攈e has just 27 points in 61 games鈥攁nd this may lead to Philadelphia selling low. With the Flyers also sliding out of contention, teams have been calling to see what it may take to pry Simmonds away.According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN and The Athletic, the interest in Simmonds has intensified with the deadline drawing near:Pierre LeBrun PierreVLeBrunInterest has intensified on Wayne Simmonds last few days. But Flyers for now focused on trying to stay in the race. Couple of big games including tonight which will sway final decision before Monday. This makes a ton of sense if Simmonds can indeed be had on the cheap. If his play picks up, he can most certainly help a potential contender improve, and his 10 years of experience could be invaluable to a younger roster.According to Evan Macy of the Philadelphia Voice鈥攚ho cited sources like LeBrun and The Athletic's Scott Burnside鈥攁s many as seven teams could be interested in acquiring Simmonds.Macy listed those teams as the Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets, Tampa Bay Lightning Buffalo Sabres Hats Authentic , Nashville Predators, Calgary Flames, Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Toronto Maple Leafs.Interest in Stone May Be DwindlingPaul Sancya/Associated PressWhile interest in acquiring Simmonds appears to be growing, the opposite may be true for Ottawa Senators wing Mark Stone. Though there has been plenty of speculation surrounding Stone, Matt Duchene and Ryan Dzingel, Stone now appears the least likely to be traded.According to LeBrun, some teams are now turning their attention elsewhere:Pierre LeBrun PierreVLeBrunSome teams concerned about how the Mark Stone situation is playing out timing-wise now turning their attention to teams like the Rangers (Hayes, Zuccarello) as well, stepping up with their calls... Dont think the buyers want to wait until Monday and risk getting nothingThe reason teams may be losing interest in Stone is that the Senators are still interested in inking him to a long-term deal.As Andy Strickland of Fox Sports Midwest reported, Ottawa like Stone both as a player and a leader:Andy Strickland andystricklandMark Stone seems to be the most likely to stay with the #Sens. Hear nothing but great things about him as a player and leader. Might want to see what Duchene and Dzingel bring back first but there鈥檚 a growing sentiment that he鈥檒l stay. The reality is that the Senators simply may be too keen on Stone to let him go for cheap. This is why players like Mats Zuccarello may be more attractive as a late-season rental.Unless the Senators publicly announce that they've given up on trying to extend Stone and will accept a bargain offer鈥攚hich is extremely unlikely to happen鈥攅xpect the interest in Stone to remain low from here on out.Duchene was actually traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets early Friday afternoon, according to TSN's Darren Dreger. With Duchene out, the Senators may be even less inclined to move Stone.Panthers May Be Open to Moving HoffmanMike Hoffman of the Florida Panthers is having himself a fine season. He's scored 50 points in 59 games, which makes him a player other teams would be interested in acquiring. Florida, meanwhile Custom Buffalo Sabres Jerseys , may not believe his play is worth the $5.6 million he's set to earn next season.Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun wrote the following:"Two league executives told Postmedia on Wednesday that the Florida Panthers are listening to offers on the former Ottawa Senators winger. ... While the Panthers have been pleased with Hoffman鈥檚 production since he was acquired last May in a three-team deal after he was sent to the San Jose Sharks by the Senators, Florida might be trying to clear his $5.175-million cap hit off the books to sign unrestricted free agents in the summer."Listening to offers definitely isn't the same thing as actively shopping a player, but Florida seems to be keeping its options open at the least.According to LeBrun, the team has asked for the 10 teams listed on Hoffman's modified no-trade clause:Pierre LeBrun PierreVLeBrunHearing that Mike Hoffman鈥檚 camp has been asked by Florida to submit its 10-team no-trade list which is part of the player鈥檚 modified NTC. It is a No list. Doesn鈥檛 mean he will be traded but obviously teams are calling so Panthers need to be ready. If a team not listed on Hoffman's list comes calling before Monday, the right offer could well have him on the move once again. TORONTO (AP) — On a night when Patrick Marleau celebrated his 1,600th NHL game, Mitch Marner did what he does best: set up goals. The 21-year-old winger had three assists and Marleau added another as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Boston Bruins 4-2 on Monday.“He has great vision out there,” the 39-year-old Marleau said. “The way he skates and handles the puck, he can maneuver around guys and draw guys to him. He did that quite a bit tonight.”Igor Ozhiganov scored his first career goal, Travis Dermott netted his second and Frederik Andersen made 38 saves to earn his 13th win of the season. Josh Leivo and Zach Hyman had the other goals for the Maple Leafs (17-8-0).David Pastrnak, who had a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Toronto on Nov. 10, scored twice for Boston (13-7-4).Marner had two primary assists, upping his NHL-best total to 24 (he has 27 assists in all).“He’s found a nice groove here,” Marleau said. “He’s only going to keep getting better www.officialflames.com , I think. And that’s pretty scary.”It was the 10th multi-assist game of the season for Marner, who also has six goals.“With the puck, without the puck, he’s definitely a slippery guy,” said Dermott, who scored the first goal of the game off an assist from Marner. “And if you get open, he’s going to find you and get the puck to you right on the tape and pretty flat. He’s a guy you want to be out there with.”Each team scored twice in a frenetic second period as Boston outshot Toronto 18-9. With the Maple Leafs leading 3-2 in the third, Danton Heinen hit the post for the Bruins.Hyman added an empty-net goal with 1:35 remaining to seal Toronto’s fifth straight home win.The Bruins lost Kevan Miller late in the first period after the defenseman took a puck to the throat off a shot by John Tavares. Boston coach Bruce Cassidy said Miller went to the hospital and was to remain overnight for observation, with some swelling in the throat area.“Right now he’s out of any danger, from what we’ve heard,” Cassidy said.“Looks like X-rays are negative,” he added. “They’re going to keep him overnight for observation, make sure his breathing stays normal. Hopefully he’s able to fly back (Tuesday), that’s the plan.”Both teams were playing their fourth game in six nights. The Bruins Calgary Flames T-Shirts Authentic , who won 3-2 in Montreal on Saturday night, had won two straight and three of four. Toronto was coming off a 6-0 win over visiting Philadelphia on Saturday night.Marleau became the 11th NHL player to reach 1,600 regular-season games. He has missed just 31 games over 21 seasons since making his debut on Oct. 1, 1997.“Great, great human being,” Toronto coach Mike Babcock said before the game.“Hard worker, great pro, great person,” he added. “So important for this team it’s not even funny and I’m not even talking about what he does on the ice. He’s fantastic.”Marleau received a standing ovation after a video tribute in the first period.“That was amazing. It was unexpected, but it was greatly appreciated,” he said.Dermott beat Jaroslav Halak with a shot through traffic 17:44 into the game for his first of the season after the Bruins’ top line couldn’t clear the puck.Boston, gaining momentum, outshot Toronto 10-0 to open the second before Toronto registered a shot midway through the period. Pastrnak, off a feed from Brad Marchand Calgary Flames Hoodies Authentic , tied it on the power play at 3:39The Bruins hit another post on the power play later in the second. Seconds later, with the penalty over, a freewheeling Marner found Ozhiganov cruising in from the point and his shot banked in off a Boston body at 13:06.Pastrnak tied it at 14:22, taking Torey Krug’s nifty pass to the side of the net before slotting it past Andersen to increase his season total to 19.Leivo put Toronto ahead 3-2 on the power play at 18:38, banging home Tyler Ennis‘ rebound after a rush by Marner.NOTES: Andersen is 11-1-0 in the regular season against Boston and 3-3 in the postseason. His last meaningful start against the Bruins was Game 7 of the first round of the 2018 playoffs when Boston rallied to end the Maple Leafs’ season with a 7-4 win. … It was the 672nd meeting between the two Original Six teams in a rivalry that dates back to 1924. … Both clubs were missing key players.
