On paper, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and interim champion Jon Jones have similar numbers. However, in their first fight last year, Jones statistically and physically dominated the contest. The following categories will be key in deciding whether Cormier can change the result or if the main event of UFC 200 will be a repeat of their first fight.WrestlingAs a two-time Olympian in freestyle wrestling, Cormier was assumed to have the grappling advantage heading into their first fight. Despite his determination, Cormier was able to land only one brief takedown on eight attempts. Jones, on the other hand, landed three of five takedowns, becoming the first fighter to take down Cormier more than once in a fight. To compete against Jones, Cormier will likely need to return to his roots and drag the fight to the ground. He is at his best when he can mix up his striking and wrestling, as he did on the way to winning the interim title over Anthony Johnson.Striking defenseDuring his UFC career, Jones opponents have often struggled to land against him. He allows his rivals only two significant strikes landed per minute. Jones has a way of making his opponents underperform compared to their demonstrated abilities. Since 2011, Jones has made all of his opponents miss more often than their career striking accuracy average. The drop-off in his opponents striking accuracy has been drastic in his last three fights. Ovince Saint Preux and Cormier were both 13 percentage points under their career norm, while Glover Teixeira finished 17 percentage points below his career striking accuracy. Cormier lands a very respectable 48 percent of his significant strikes, but he will likely struggle to score against Bones.Height and reachA large part of Jones defense stems from his 84-inch reach, one of the longest in the UFC. He uses his reach to make opponents pay for attempting to close the distance and strike. His length allows him to score with a series of unorthodox kicks before opponents can even get into normal striking range. Cormier is five inches shorter than Jones and will need to contend with a 12-inch reach disadvantage. Cormiers first challenge will be to withstand Jones exterior barrage in order to close the distance and land power shots.Ring rustFollowing his last fight at UFC 197, the prevailing wisdom was that Jones underwhelming performance against Saint Preux stemmed from ring rust due to his 476-day layoff between fights. However, from a numbers perspective, it was a typical Bones performance. Against Saint Preux, he landed 4.20 significant strikes per minute, only a hair below his career number (4.25). His striking accuracy and takedown accuracy that night were actually above his norm. On the other hand, Cormier was extremely active in 2015 but is now returning from an injury that forced him out of UFC 197. Despite having only one fight in the past 19 months, Jones might have momentum on his side. Wholesale Air Max 95 Mens . His remarks come after the cost of a Premier League ticket came under scrutiny this week after Liverpool supporters staged a protest during their game against Sunderland. And Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew admits he fears the Premier Leagues future could be undermined if clubs continue to raise their admission prices. Liverpool have subsequently frozen match and season ticket prices for next season while Fenway Sports Group, the clubs owners, issued an apology to their supporters in an open letter on Wednesday. While Watford are yet to reveal their pricing structure beyond this term - their most expensive ticket for their next home league match against Bournemouth is £42 - Flores wishes supporters across the land did not have to pay to watch their team. Watfords manager Quique Sanchez Flores thinks football fans should get free tickets I want to say that I would like the fans to pay as little as possible, said Flores, whose side play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday. It is an amazing love that the fans feel for their team but unfortunately football is not cheap, it is expensive.Sometimes the situation of the families is not so good, so if you are talking with me about what I think, I would like them to go for free, and if not free, cheap. I dont understand why football is expensive for the people because the football is great for the fans. But football is more and more of a business and it is difficult to think that it will ever be free. Crystal Palaces Alan Pardew believes club owners could undermine the Premier Leagues future.dddddddddddd Crystal Palace are among several clubs to have raised some ticket prices, but Pardew has urged club owners to wake up to reality as they risk alienating their own supporters. And with Selhurst Park remaining one of very few English stadiums currently retaining a traditional football atmosphere with few tourists and corporate partners watching, Pardew has emphasised the importance of the fans. The owners of the football clubs need to really consider carefully that they dont lose the core supporters that we have, he said. Because if they think its just the product on the pitch that makes the Premier League what is it, it isnt. Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has warned that clubs could alienate fans by making football too expensive to watch Its the atmosphere. Its the drive from those core supporters that makes the atmosphere and the game unfold the way it does. You wont have those dramatic finishes, those edgy games, those really conflictual games that we have without those fans. The Premier League has also weighed in on the argument, but admitted it is unsure how it can help clubs resolve the issue. There is absolute agreement from the 20 clubs that something needs to be done to help fans with costs, a spokesman said.At the moment there is not a consensus on what form that help will take. That is what we are working on, but it is going to be something meaningful for the start of next season. Also See: Premier League video Fixtures Table Live on Sky Get Sky Sports ' ' '
