There is losing, and then there is being completely and totally outplayed. For the last three times that Ireland have played ODIs against Full Members, it has been the latter. They were beaten by 255 runs by Pakistan, and before that, by 136 runs and 76 runs by Sri Lanka, making for grim reading. However, William Porterfield, their captain, managed to find the positives.Weve done a lot of things well for 80 to 85 overs in a lot of those games, Porterfield said. Against Pakistan, we pretty much had an off day, and Sharjeel (Khan) had a very good day. He was the big difference in the game. If we kept him out of it, it would have been a decent enough contest. We probably lost the Sri Lanka game in seven or eight overs on the field. Those things can happen if youre not right on it.Realistically, that is a generous analysis. Sharjeels 152 off 86 balls accounted for almost half of Pakistans total of 337, but even if he had been kept quiet, Ireland only managed 82 in response. Similarly, they were unable to muster strong replies against Sri Lanka after conceding heavily in both the matches they played in June. The real reason for Irelands recent struggles may lie a little deeper, and Porterfield was willing to acknowledge that. The biggest thing for ourselves was that we had quite a few debutants in those games, especially with our bowling attack, and the experience they have taken from that is going to be key.Against Sri Lanka, Barry McCarthy earned his first cap to join a young pace pack that included Andy McBrine, who has played 16 ODIs, and Max Sorensen, who has 13 ODIs to his name. Add that to new faces in the batting line-up such as Stuart Poynter and Sean Terry, and you have a team in a transition of sorts, which makes the dip in consistency understandable. That makes it particularly important for Irelands stalwarts like Porterfield and the OBrien brothers to perform well in the two matches in South Africa, but even more important that Tim Murtagh provides influence and inspiration through his presence. Murtagh joined the squad early on Saturday morning after winning the county championship with Middlesex, and Ireland will see the value of having someone with that success.Whether Murtagh plays the first game remains to be seen, especially as he would only have had little more than 24 hours of recovery time, but simply having him around will boost Irish spirits. He is here today, training, Porterfield said, his tone notably lighter than when he was dissecting Irelands last few performances. He has got 20 years of experience behind him, so he knows what he needs to do and how his body is going to feel, and he will be pretty open and honest himself, how he is feeling. How Ireland are feeling is also transparent. They are both nervous and excited at the possibilities that lie ahead in the next four days, and they are determined to make the most of them, so that they can be asked back to these shores in future. Having the opportunity to come to South Africa and play them in their own backyard, and to play the world champions - Ireland play Australia in a one-off ODI after the South Africa match - in different conditions is what we have been building towards, Porterfield said. Weve got to keep improving and keep putting in performances to merit the games that we get. Were not here to just make up numbers for a couple of games, but we are here to win games of cricket. Frank Gore Youth Jersey . -- Josh Sterk scored once and set up two more as the Oshawa Generals edged the visiting Belleville Bulls 3-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action. Dee Ford Womens Jersey . Despite the cost, effort and an improved steroid test, its possible that very few -- if any -- positives will be detected, Dr. Richard Budgett told The Associated Press in an interview. "We just dont know what the results from Torino will be," Budgett said. http://www.thesf49ersshoponline.com/Youth-Jimmy-Garoppolo-49ers-Jersey/ . After a replay, the winner will meet Sunderland in the quarterfinals. Sagbo did well to control Sone Alukos right cross and fire past Brighton goalkeeper Peter Brezovan. Aluko was making his first start in four months after recovering from an Achilles injury. Nick Bosa Womens Jersey . Isner, ranked No. 14, won his eighth career singles title and took the title in New Zealand for the second time after his victory in 2010. The match was similar to Isners quarterfinal victory over fifth-seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber which went to three sets, all tiebreaks and contained no breaks of serve. Tom Rathman Womens Jersey . With their top three point guards and Kobe Bryant all sidelined by injury, the Lakers signed Marshall out of the D-League on Friday before their home game against Minnesota. Bath won 15-6 at Kingsholm on Saturday to take the west country bragging rights over hosts Gloucester.Wing Anthony Watsons 62nd-minute score edged Bath ahead before centre Matt Banahan struck six minutes from time in a dire west country derby when neither side looked remotely like Aviva Premiership play-off contenders.Gloucester skipper Greig Laidlaw was left to rue three missed penalties - he had landed 17 successful kicks this season before Baths visit - includlng two long-range failures in three minutes during the closing quarter as Bath prevailed 15-6.Laidlaw and James Hook each landed a penalty for Gloucester, while Bath fly-half George Ford dropped a goal and converted Banahans try as Bath left Gloucester still without a home win since they beat Exeter last April.Bath have now lost just one of their last eight Premiership encounters against Gloucester, but the home side could have few complaints as they slumped to a third successive home defeat of the campaign.Laidlaw returned as one of four changes for the home side, with Hook replacing injured full-back Tom Marshall, centre Billy Twelvetrees making his 100th Gloucester appearance and prop Paddy McAllister taking over from Yann Thomas, while Bath partnered Aled Brew and Banahan in midfield and paraded lock Elliott Stooke against his former club.Torrential pre-match rain made the playing surface tricky in places, but Gloucester missed a gilt-edged chance for an early lead when Laidlaw sent a close-range penalty attempt wide.It was a let-off for Bath after prop Henry Thomas was penalised following a scrummaging infringement, yet the visitors struggled for fluency and did not create a scoring chance until Ford saw a 222nd minute drop-goal attempt hit the post.ddddddddddddThe scrums were a mess throughout the opening period, with referee JP Doyle having his hands full to ensure any continuity. But Gloucester took the lead 10 minutes before half-time when Hook rifled over a 50-metre penalty, and he was only narrowly short with another long-range attempt four minutes later as Bath continued to infringe. There was little, though, for a capacity 16,500 crowd to enthuse about, with attacking play at a premium and both sides possessing insufficient quality to convert possession into points. The second-half began with Ford dropping a goal - his fourth of the season - to tie things up, but Gloucester needed just two minutes to go back in front when Laidlaw kicked a penalty, before Ford sent a long-range penalty attempt narrowly wide. But Bath went ahead for the first time after 62 minutes when they patiently went through phase play and full-back Tom Homer found Watson, who finished brilliantly by brushing off Billy Burns attempted tackle to touch down wide out.Fords touchline conversion attempt hit the post, and then Laidlaw took centre-stage, but on both occasions his kicks dipped short of the target. And Bath did not require a second invitation to close the game out, as Watson went close to scoring another try before the ball found impressive Bath scrum-half Kahn Fotualii, who sent an unmarked Banahan over.Ford added the extras, and Bath could reflect on an unspectacular victory that kept them in the Premierships top four ahead of hosting Sale Sharks next Friday night.
