COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland had another comeback in it Saturday night against Oklahoma State.Melo Trimble made two free throws with 9.4 seconds remaining to lift Maryland to a 71-70 victory after rallying from a 12-point deficit against the Cowboys.Trimble scored 13 points, and Jaylen Brantley and Damonte Dodd both added 12 points for the Terrapins (8-1).This group of mine, its amazing what they do, Maryland coach Mark Turgeon said. We have all these young kids playing and we keep battling.Oklahoma States Jawun Evans missed an off-balance jumper in the closing seconds that would have given the Cowboys a victory. It was the fourth time this year Maryland has rallied from a deficit of at least nine points in the second half to win. The Terps also did so against Georgetown, Towson and Richmond. Its pretty much status quo for the Terps here --- fall behind, come back, Oklahoma State coach Brad Underwood said.Evans scored 16 points for Oklahoma State (6-2), while Jeffrey Carroll came off the bench to score 15 points and add 12 rebounds.Oklahoma State led 60-48 with 12 minutes to play, but Maryland uncorked a 13-0 run to tighten the game for the closing minutes. We kept coming, Turgeon said. I think everybody on our team knew we were going to win the game once we cut it down. The Cowboys, who entered the night as the nations No. 2 scoring team, was held to a season-low in points largely because it sputtered in the final 10 minutes. We had a couple good looks and missed a couple putbacks, but more importantly, Maryland got very aggressive on the offensive end, Underwood said. They got second shots and other opportunities. For the most part, that stretch of the game was the deciding factor.Neither team did a good job of taking care of the ball. Oklahoma State was effective in disrupting the Terps early and forced 18 turnovers, but managed only six points off those miscues. Maryland scored 20 points off 15 Cowboy turnovers. That was enough to put the Terps in position to claim yet another tight victory.Hopefully we make it to the tournament down the road because in those type of games, the further you get, the closer they are, Trimble said. Im glad were going through this now and hopefully well still be as good as we are now later.BIG PICTUREOklahoma State: The Cowboys played well for much of the night in their first true road game under Underwood before Maryland rallied. The pride of Weyburn, Sask.Dewi Morris believes Bristol are a changed team and are ready to make the step up to Premiership rugby ahead of Wednesdays Championship final second-leg, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 7.30pm. This year, Bristol have decided to turn up in the Championship play-offs and they are my favourites to win and gain promotion. Their stadium is obviously partially built, but they have still sold 16,000 tickets so its an absolute sell-out.They have a 15-point buffer going into the game which is a good advantage to have for the first time in their history. They have been in the wilderness of the Championship for seven years but they are just eighty minutes away from the promised land which is the Premiership, and I cant see Doncaster doing too much to stop them. Will Hurrell crossed for Doncaster in the first-leg If Bristol are to do it, they deserve it. Their forwards coach, Mark Bakewell, has added a little bit of steel to the pack which has eliminated silly errors from their game. They dispatched Bedford easily in the semis and did a good job on Doncaster in the first leg with 59 per cent possession and 65 per cent territory, which suggests to me that they are very structured, very pragmatic, very concentrated on the job in hand and have been that way since the start of the play-offs.Despite Doncaster being the underdog, I would like to think they have a chance. They will be proud and will fight, having beaten Bristol in November 27-39, so they are used to winning at the Ashton Gate Stadium. Bristol take a 15-point advantage into the second-leg of the final against Doncaaster But this is a different Bristol side with a different psyche and more commitment than the one Doncaster played seven months ago.dddddddddddd. They know that they have underachieved over the years but this could be the last piece of the jigsaw to get into the Premiership which is when the really hard work starts. Everyone in Bristol can celebrate if they are promoted, and look forward to playing in the elite league.Im looking forward to the encounter. It should be a good atmosphere and Im expecting Bristol to put on a good performance. It will be a hearty display from Doncaster but I think Bristol, if they are to go up, will want to go out with a bang in front of their own supporters. Bristol have developed a pragmatic style of play this season Over the past few years Bristol have struggled on the big stage losing to London Welsh in 2014 and to Worcester in 2015, but I really dont see it happening to them this time. They are a more relaxed group. I think what has happened is that they are focussing on the job in hand rather than development, which they can do once they are in the Premiership. They have developed a style of hard-nosed, pragmatic rugby and everyone has bought into that.It is not too flashy but it is very effective and very powerful while they are also the richest in the Championship with a squad of 50 players which they have stretched to the maximum because of the high amount of injuries. There are no mixed messages, they are all reading off the same script and it looks like they are going to do it.
