CHICAGO -- The visiting clubhouse at Wrigley Field is the size of a midtown Manhattan studio apartment, so the folks at Major League Baseball have made some accommodations to help the Cleveland Indians fulfill their World Series media responsibilities. After each game, several Cleveland players assemble on the field next to the first-base dugout, stand on platforms and conduct their interviews.Late Saturday night, as the outfield flags flapped in the breeze and the?Chicago Cubs?grounds crew spread a white tarpaulin in anticipation of an incoming rainstorm, the juxtaposition of reality and dreams was too obvious to ignore: The Indians were looking out at the very field where they might be celebrating the achievement of a lifetime Sunday night. For the past few weeks, all the momentum and hype pointed toward the Cubs breaking a giant historical barrier and capturing their first title in 108 years. But now a different drought is on the verge of extinction. The Indians are one win from their first championship since 1948, and its enough to make a Chicago kid-turned-northern Ohio favorite all tingly with anticipation.I try not to think about it, but the thought is still creeping into my mind, said Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis, a Northbrook, Illinois, native. We still have a very tough victory to get. But the fact that were up 3-1 and were one win away, you cant ask for a much better position. Were close. With a 7-2 victory Saturday, the Indians became the 47th team to go up 3-1 in a World Series. Of the previous 46, the team with the lead has won the title 40 times (or 87 percent) and captured Game 5 on 26 occasions (56.5 percent). The 1985 Kansas City Royals were the last team to rally from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series, and they needed help from a momentous blown call by umpire Don Denkinger to overcome the St. Louis Cardinals.Beyond the cold, hard numbers, the Indians have a proven affinity for celebrating on the road. They clinched the American League Central title with a win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, eliminated Boston in the Division Series at Fenway Park and locked up the AL pennant vs. the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, so theyre well-versed in the art of soiling somebody elses carpeting. No matter where it happens,?outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall?said, its going to be fun.Wrigley Field poses certain challenges because of the pent-up insanity that has accompanied the Cubs first World Series home games in 71 years. The list of celebrities in attendance for Game 4 included Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, actors Gary Sinise and Jim Belushi, and musicians Eddie Vedder, Billy Corgan and Chance the Rapper. In the first Series game in Chicago, former Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster fired up the crowd with a ceremonial pep talk followed by an exhortation of Play Ball! In Game 4, it was comedian Jeff Garlins turn. Upstairs in the broadcast booth, Bill Murray sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame on Friday night, while Vince Vaughn did the honors Saturday. In both games, the atmosphere was rocking at the outset, but the Indians methodically tightened the vise and sucked the life from the crowd by outplaying the Cubs. Pitcher?Josh Tomlin set the tone with a strong performance in a 1-0 victory Friday, and Corey Kluber did the same in a more decisive victory in Game 4.Were making that routine play when we need to make it,?outfielder Rajai Davis?said. Were making that good pitch when we need to make that good pitch, and its like were taking their breath away. Were taking their voice, just by scoring runs and playing good defense.Multiple themes have emerged in the first four games of the series. Clevelands pitchers have held the Cubs to a total of seven runs and a .204/.273/.299 slash line -- continuing the run of dominance the Tribe displayed against the Red Sox and Blue Jays. And the old different-night, different-star routine continues unabated. Kipnis, who has been playing on a gimpy ankle and has struggled in the World Series, finally broke through with three hits and a three-run homer off reliever Travis Wood.Manager Terry Francona continues to come up with an inspired move for every occasion. In Game 4, he gave Mike Napoli the night off and started Carlos Santana at first base. Naturally, Santana stepped to the plate and launched a full-count fastball from John Lackey into the right-field bleachers in his first plate appearance of the evening. The Game 5 matchup of Jon Lester vs. Trevor Bauer looks like a decided advantage for the Cubs. But thats the same thing everyone was saying before the fifth game of the American League Championship Series, when untested rookie Ryan Merritt took on Torontos Marco Estrada. All Merritt did was pitch 4 1/3 innings of shutout ball, and the Indians rolled over the Blue Jays 3-0 to win the pennant.Regardless of the circumstances, the Indians will remain as loose as they can possibly be. True to custom, Kipnis teammates picked him up and carried him through the dugout after his home run off Wood. And when reliever Andrew Miller gave up a solo shot to Dexter Fowler to break a 16-inning postseason scoreless streak, at least something good came of it; Miller had refrained from washing his jockstrap because he didnt want to jinx the streak, and Fowlers homer finally freed him to toss it on the pile.We all have weird stuff that we do, whether its chewing two pieces of gum or jumping over the line, Miller said. If things are going well, you try to stay with your routine. Hopefully this isnt a big story anymore. There comes a point where things have to get washed.Miller, with his fastball-slider repertoire and freshly laundered uniform, could appear in a different role Sunday night. For most of October, Francona has called upon Clevelands 6-foot-7 left-hander to handle the heavy lifting in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings and summoned Cody Allen to close things out in the ninth. But Francona revealed that he might flip-flop his two best relievers in Game 5.So the question had to be asked: Has Miller allowed himself the luxury of dreaming about closing out the final game of a World Series? His response typifies everything that has made the 2016 Indians such a likably tight-knit team.I just dream about winning one more game, Miller said. A. J. Klein Jersey . Soukalova missed only one target and completed the 15-kilometre course in 40 minutes, 32.6 seconds for both victories in this seasons individual discipline. Darya Domracheva of Belarus was second, 34. Dalton Hilliard Jersey . -- Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar will be out for roughly four weeks after tearing his left hamstring. http://www.customsaintsjersey.com/custom-justin-hardee-jersey-large-2712e.html . Hazard cut in from the left and scored with a swerving right-footed shot for ninth goal of the season, which proved to be enough for the victory despite Chelseas forwards again lacking a cutting edge up front. Billy Kilmer Jersey .Y. -- Jayna Hefford scored the winning goal Friday as Canada survived a scare with a 4-3 win over Sweden at the Four Nations womens hockey tournament. Ken Stabler Jersey .Y. - Free agent outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury, fresh off winning the World Series with Boston, reached agreement with the rival New York Yankees on a seven-year contract worth about $153 million, a person familiar with the negotiations said Tuesday night. MARTINSVILLE, Va. -- There was a time this summer when a seventh championship seemed out of reach for Jimmie Johnson.Hendrick Motorsports was struggling and Johnson wasnt at the top of many lists to contend for the title. Then the Hendrick organization flipped a switch, built better, faster cars, and Johnson turned it up a notch. Now, that slot in NASCARs record books is absolutely within reach.Johnson earned one of four spots in next months title-deciding season finale Sunday with his ninth career victory at Martinsville Speedway . The six-time NASCAR champion will race for his seventh championship, which would tie him for the record with Hall of Famers Richard Petty and the late Dale Earnhardt.Ive been trying to ignore this conversation about seven, and now I cant, said Johnson, who doesnt particularly want to start thinking about the stakes just yet.Ill probably lie to all of you guys and say Im not going to think about it at all. But its inevitable. Fortunately, I dont have to think about it for three weeks. But were going to enjoy this and savor it. Were going to get our ducks in a row for Homestead. The victory blocked Joe Gibbs Racing from placing all four of Toyota drivers in the final round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup title . There are only three spots still open in the Nov. 20 finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and JGRs hope of sweeping the final four ended Sunday. Most likely to miss the final? Carl Edwards, who had a tire problem and finished 36th at Martinsville -- lowest of the eight Chase drivers. Also in trouble: Stewart-Haas Racing teammates Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch, who finished 20th and 22nd.Brad Keselowski, eliminated from the Chase last week , finished second and was irritated by a lengthy caution earlier in the race when NASCAR struggled to figure out the running order. Had those laps not been wasted under yellow, Keselowski absolutely believed he could have beat Johnson. We dont need to run 100 laps under yellow with the field, not trying to figure out where theyre at, and it probably cost us the race, Keselowski said. The caution took 29 laps, and left some grumbling the order still wasnt correct when the race restarted.I think the stakes are so high, I really wish we would have red flagged the race, gone, reviewed it and gotten it right, said third-place finisher Denny Hamlin. Theres a 100 percent chance it was not right at the end. It changed the running order.Hopefully, that doesnt change what happens going into Homestead. I know that NASCAR is doing everything they can with the scoring they have and things like that. But you have to get it right. It definitely was not right.JGR finished third, fourth and fifth ass Hamlin, Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch are inside the top-four as the series heads to Texas Motor Speedway.dddddddddddd But all was not well in the Gibbs camp after the race.Busch felt Hamlin -- finished the highest by holding up Kenseth and Busch in the waning laps. Although the teammates worked well together on restarts, Busch felt that Hamlin not getting out of the way allowed Johnson to win and Keselowski to finish second. We work so good together that we just gave the win to (Johnson). So, JGR all the way, Busch said. At the end, you had the slowest Gibbs car holding up the rest of the line, and all we did was let somebody else from another organization pass us and go up there and chase down (Johnson).Hamlin disputed Buschs view.I may have held those guys up for a little bit of that final run, but definitely dont think I was holding anyone up at the end, for sure, Hamlin said.Jeff Gordon finished sixth in his final scheduled race as the replacement driver for Dale Earnhardt Jr. It is presumably the final race of Gordons career. He retired last season, but was pressed into eight races when Earnhardt suffered a concussion.Martin Truex Jr. finished seventh and was followed by Jamie McMurray and Joey Logano, winner last week at Talladega but now the first driver below the cutline in the Chase. It was an unusually fast race for Martinsville standards, and the five cautions were the fewest since April of 1989.SCARY SCENE: A vehicle struck at least 10 pedestrians in a parking lot outside the speedway after the race.A track official said there were no life-threatening injuries, although some pedestrians had been transported to Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Virginia. One person was taken into custody after the incident.JOHNSON VS. HAMLIN: There was mid-race aggression between Johnson and Hamlin , as Hamlin moved Johnson out of his way for a pass for position. He thinks hes a (expletive) king, doesnt do anything wrong, Hamlin radioed.Johnson didnt understand Hamlins lack of patience, and Hamlin said it stems from incidents in the first two rounds of the Chase.DEHYDRATED DRIVERS: It was the warmest fall race at Martinsville since 1999 and temperatures in the mid-80s caused overheating for at least two drivers.AJ Allmendinger and Michael McDowell had to be treated for dehydration after the race, and bot
