ut the risks of head injuries during that time period when there was no collective bargaining agreement in place in the NFL. KAN Antworten

Jay Monahan will be just the fourth PGA Tour commissioner in history. Which topics should be at the top of his agenda when he starts Jan. 1?As for outgoing commissioner Tim Finchem, what will he be most remembered for in his 22-plus years at the helm? Our panel of experts looks back and ahead to the PGA Tours future in this weeks edition of Monday Four-Ball.1. What will be Tim Finchems lasting legacy?SportsCenter anchor Jonathan Coachman: I think his lasting legacy will be of a man who was willing to take the Tiger Woods phenomenon and capitalize on it and bring the PGA Tour to new financial heights. He brokered unparalleled deals that allow players to now reach earnings that they could only dream about 30 years ago.ESPN.com senior golf writer Michael Collins: Tiger Woods. Anytime you mention Tim Finchem, what he did, the direction and growth of the PGA Tour, you have to mention Tiger Woods. They are tied together like no other commissioner and star player in any major American sport ever will be.ESPN.com senior golf writer Bob Harig: Enriching the players. Finchem spoke often over the years about his desire to bring up the level of compensation for golfers closer to that of what those in team sports enjoy. And while earning the kind of guaranteed income baseball, basketball and football stars get is not possible in golf, Finchem has made it possible for the good to elite players to make a fabulous living. Also, something that has not received as much attention: how the PGA Tour under his watch enhanced its pension program to be incredibly lucrative, even for average players.ESPN.com senior golf writer Jason Sobel:?I think the common sentiment is that anyone couldve ushered the PGA Tour through the Tiger Era and made bazillions for the tour, its members and its charities. But thats not necessarily true. Finchem maximized his product to the greatest monetary possibilities. There will never be another growth period in the game like the one presided over during his reign.2. What should Jay Monahans first priority be when he takes over as PGA Tour commissioner?Coachman: I think he needs to address the wrap-around season. That, to me, is a big detriment to the year, and I believe that an eight-month season is long enough. I dont think this will be a priority, but making these world-class players stay in the States when they can go worldwide in the fall would grow the game more than having smaller tournaments in the U.S.Collins: Clean up (settle) the lawsuits (Vijay Singh and the caddies) and come up with a schedule that allows the PGA Tour to grow globally but gives every tournament a chance to at some point have the star attractions play in their events. Two easy problems. (Wheres the sarcasm font?)Harig: As much as I would like to see Monahan jump on the slow play issue immediately, his likely immediate concern is the extension of the FedEx Cup playoff system. It is possible this is close, but Monahan will need to see it through, and that is a crucial aspect of the PGA Tour in the short term.Sobel: To an extent, there will be an if it aint broke, dont fix it mentality when Monahan takes over. The tour doesnt need any major reconstruction, but I do think the incoming commissioner will look to tighten up the schedule. It has lost the original plot of the FedEx Cup: to finish the season before football starts and give players a true offseason. I do think hell try to rectify this situation.3. How impressive is Pat Perezs comeback from shoulder surgery?Coachman: Amazing. Most guys at his age would not be able to ever tee it up again on the PGA Tour. At his age, to put in the work to win a PGA Tour event is incredible. He will be smart and not try to overdo it. Now that he has won, he will be able to dictate how much he plays and where he plays.Collins: His first three results coming back from injury: 33rd, seventh, win. If that doesnt impress you from a 40-year-old, then I dont know what would. Selfishly, I was rooting for Pat since hes my co-host on a SiriusXM show, but his caddie, Mike Hartford, told me months ago that this injury was the best thing that could have happened to Perezs career.Harig: Perhaps all it took was for Perez to get healthy. He tied for seventh last week in just his second start back after having missed nine cuts in his previous 12 starts prior to surgery. Still, at age 40, to come back so quickly after surgery and a lengthy layoff was never a guarantee. He has made it look easy.Sobel: Its nothing short of amazing. Were talking about a guy who played a decade and a half with just a single win on his résumé, then he immediately bounces back from shoulder surgery with his second one. For a guy who might be one of the PGA Tours all-time best quotes, maybe hell be able to explain this comeback, because it sure seems inexplicable.4. Whats your take on the Web.com Tour starting 2017 with two events in the Bahamas that will start on a Sunday and end on a Wednesday?Coachman: I am all for new ideas. And if this gets the Web.com Tour on TV not opposite other tournaments, then maybe that could be an answer. And if the popularity grows, then maybe we will see more tournaments be placed like this.Collins: If it was in the continental U.S., it would be a nightmare for getting volunteers and a crowd. Its genius to do it in the Bahamas. This gets two sets of vacationers a chance to see the tournament. Think about which days you go on vacation. The size and population of the islands make it an easy task for the infrastructure of local volunteers and the days off needed.Harig: While the Bahamas is a great place to start, the story is more about doing something not following the traditional golf mode. Ending on a Wednesday and making this more about television viewers is a great idea that should be embraced and studied more. The only odd thing about this is the week off between events. Playing them back-to-back would make even more sense.Sobel: Im all for trying stuff -- and this is another way to branch out of the box and break the mold. In last weeks Four-Ball, we talked about the European Tour potentially playing a nighttime event; now were talking about one being played on unconventional days. I love new ideas. Cheap Jerseys . With the short-handed Warriors needing help from someone -- anyone -- to stop a three-game skid, ONeal returned from right knee and groin injuries that had sidelined him for four games and put up season highs with 18 points and eight rebounds. It was just enough to help lift Golden State to a 102-101 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. Cheap Jerseys USA . World champions Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov of Russia won the gold medal with 237.71 points, Moore-Towers and Moscovitch followed at 208.45 and Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov of Russia were third at 187. Cheap Jerseys NFL . -- Five former Kansas City Chiefs players who were on the team between 1987 and 1993 filed a lawsuit Tuesday claiming the team hid and even lied about the risks of head injuries during that time period when there was no collective bargaining agreement in place in the NFL. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Trevone Boykin did not just hit the ground running. He hit it running, passing and winning in a last-second rally that sure made for a splashy NFL debut.Competing to be Russell Wilsons backup, the rookie from TCU engineered a last-minute, 88-yard touchdown drive in four plays, connecting with Tanner McEvoy with a 37-yard scoring pass, and then handing the ball to Troy Pope for the 2-point conversion with no time remaining, lifting Seattle past Kansas City 17-16 Saturday.Boykin, competing with veteran Jake Heaps, replaced Wilson after one possession and had some good and some not-so-good moments before getting going on the final drive. The clock showed 0:00 when McEvoy out-positioned and out-jumped Malcolm Jackson in the end zone, bringing the Seahawks to within one point in a game they had trailed all day.Our guys fought to the end. Thats what we did, said Boykin. Tanner made a great catch. The stunned Chiefs were flagged for having 12 men on the field, moving the ball to the 1, and Pope went off left guard to score the winner.Boykin, a star at TCU who was not drafted, was 16 for 26 for 188 yards. Keeping the winning drive alive, he had a scrambling 15-yard run. It was second-and-9 when he lofted the pass to McEvoy, who was waiting in the end zone for the ball. For the first 59 minutes, the Chiefs dominated, getting a touchdown drive from Alex Smith on their first possession and three field goals from Cairo Santos, including a career-long 58-yarder.Steven Hauschka also had three field goals for the Seahawks.PICKING UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFFSeahawks: Hauschka was 3 for 3 after hitting 29 of 31 last season, connecting from 52, 49 and 50 yards.Chiefs: Santos was also perfect on three attempts and Marcus Peters, last seasons NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, had an interception of Wilson at the goal line.ROOKIE WATCHSeahawks: Brandin Bryant, the 290-pound rookie out of Florida Atlantic whos been turning heads in practice, had two tackles at left tackle and seemed to hold his own against more experienced Chiefs linemen. Tyvis Powell, a safety out of Ohio State, made an alert interception off a tipped ball, got up and returned it 11 yards to put the Seahawks at midfield.Chiefs: Special teams hopeful Eric Murray made a nifty stop on the 9-yard line on the kickoff following Santos field goal, leading to KC next taking possession at its 44.INJURY UPDATESeahawks: The injury issue thats been hurting the Seahawks since camp opened kept a number of players from eeven suiting up, including running backs C.dddddddddddd. Prosise and Zac Brooks and wide receivers Deshon Foxx, Kevin Smith and Kasen Williams. ... Tight end Jimmy Graham, who returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since injuring his patella tendon last November, stayed home.Chiefs: Linebacker D.J. Alexander went out in the first quarter with a rib injury, but returned late in the second.POSITION BATTLES:Seahawks: Boykin got off to a good start in his competition to back up Wilson. His case is strengthened because his college offense is similar to what hes doing now. Flashing the agility that made him a dual-threat star at TCU, he also faked out linebacker Ramik Wilson for a 5-yard gain on third down.Chiefs: Nick Foles, signed after camp opened to perhaps provide experienced backup for Smith, completed half his eight passes for 37 yards and was high on his first couple of throws, a problem hes been having in camp. But tight end Demetrius Harris dropped a well-thrown ball on third down.Smith directed a nearly flawless touchdown drive in his only possession, making a particularly nifty third-down completion to set up KCs touchdown. He was 3 for 4 for 36 yards.Wilson was almost equally impressive in his brief appearance. But a goal-line interception by Marcus Peters thwarted an otherwise impressive drive by the Seahawks first-team offense and its revamped offensive line.Heaps was 2 for 6 for 20 yards.Nick Foles, who had success in Philadelphia with Andy Reid, completed half of his eight passes for 37 yards after replacing Smith but was high on several throws. Tyler Bray, the strong-armed undrafted fourth-year quarterback from Tennessee, was 3 of 9 for 48 yards.Taking advantage of Seattle mistakes, the Chiefs first-team offense drove 49 yards in eight plays to take a 7-0 lead on the games first possession. Knile Davis picked up 34 yards with the kickoff, then a facemask penalty on Steven Terrell added 15. On third-and-9 from the Seattle 21, Smith escaped pressure and found Jeremy Maclin on the 1. Spencer Ware went in for the TD.It was good work out there, going against another team for the first time, said Ware, who had 24 yards on five carries for an offense that rushed for 135 yards.
