Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Automatic Perpetual Calendar Now Available in 38mm



To celebrate the brand's 150th anniversary, Audemars Piguet has introduced two new, smaller versions of the Royal Oak Automatic Perpetual Calendar.

Following the 41mm version launched earlier this year, these latest models present this captivating complication for the first time in a 38mm diameter.

Both watches, available in 18K rose gold or stainless steel, are limited editions of 150 pieces each, featuring design elements carefully crafted to commemorate the occasion.

These include a signature on the moon phase display at 6 o'clock, inspired by historical text, and a commemorative "150" logo and "1/150 piece" engraved on the caseback frame.

The 38mm case, measuring 9.4mm thick and water-resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, features no corrector on the case side, further enhancing its elegance.

The first Royal Oak (Limited Editions 26684ST.OO.1356ST.01 and 26684ST.OO.1356ST.02) features a stainless steel case and bracelet with a light blue PVD Grande Tapisserie dial that matches the snailed chronograph counters.

Rhodium-plated hour markers and 18K white gold hands with luminescent material ensure excellent legibility even in the dark. Black printed indices on the chronograph counters and polished grey bezel complete the design.

The second version (Limited Editions 26684OR.OO.1356OR.01 and 26684OR.OO.1356OR.02) features an 18K rose gold case and matching bracelet with a beige Grande Tapisserie dial.

The beige snailed dial, with luminescent hour markers and 18K rose gold hands, creates a harmonious color palette, while the blue moon phase display at 6 o'clock adds a touch of brilliance.

All models feature a sapphire crystal caseback, revealing the new Calibre 7136 movement, which operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a minimum power reserve of 55 hours.

This movement differs from the Calibre 7138, introduced in the 41mm perpetual calendar model in early 2025, by omitting the weekly calendar.

The 22K rose gold oscillating weight and barrel bridge stand out among the movement's other rhodium-plated components.

All functions are controlled via the crown, which has four different positions. The first position winds the watch clockwise (position 1). Pulling the crown out once (position 2) sets the date clockwise and adjusts the month and leap year counterclockwise. Pulling the crown out again (position 3) allows you to set the time in both directions. Pushing the crown back one click (position 2') adjusts the day and date clockwise and the moon phase counterclockwise.
